The Client

Flatworld Solutions was contacted by a company whose primary role was to shortlist job profiles and handle recruitment for other companies looking to hire better staff. The candidates would apply to different categories of jobs through a popular job search board. They needed a partner that could help them fetch CVs from the applicants, and shortlist them with respect to the exact job descriptions.

Once the shortlisted CVs were approved, they would then also need to be uploaded back to the database so that employers could schedule interviews. The client needed a partner that would be capable of handling large-scale, frequent data management. After discussing their needs at length with our Operations Data Management Team, they elected to work with Flatworld Solutions.

The Problems

Analyzing any CV would require manual review, as CVs cover different fields and experiences. The Flatworld Solutions team had to be well-versed in how to screen for roles and titles that could be vastly different in experience, industry, and more.

While working with the project, the team also encountered different formats of CVs, which would be difficult to screen and categorize with respect to the recruitment criteria, such as total experience, relevant experience, skillsets, and more. Many of the CVs were also not domain specific as required by the job description. Finding the right domain proved to be time consuming.
