"When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going" - Joseph P Kennedy
The fallout of COVID-19 has been unprecedented. On one hand it has already killed around 19,000 people and infected close to half a million across 197 countries and territories (WHO stats as of 26th March 2020). On the other hand it has decimated several small businesses and has severely impacted most businesses.
In the midst of the fear and anxiety, many of us are actively trying to adapt and stay afloat even as the situation is still volatile and rapidly changing. Healthcare workers on the front line of this battle are literally putting their lives on the line. Many businesses have stepped forward to try and lend a hand in trying to alleviate some of the day to day challenges. Several businesses are struggling between keeping their employees safe on one hand while keeping the business running on the other. Some industries are looking to leverage Data Science and Automation to solve their business challenges.
We, at Flatworld, empower 400+ such businesses across the globe by providing Outsourcing and Technology solutions from our delivery centers across multiple cities and countries. These organizations rely on our services for their day-to-day operations and we are determined to not let any of them down during these tough times.
Like any other organization, we were faced with uncertainties around the well-being of our teams, the economy, capacity, travel restrictions, lockdowns, and many more. In the midst of this, the Flatworld team has rallied around "minimizing service disruptions for our customers while ensuring the safety and security of our employees and the community".
Thanks to the commitment, agile leadership, and resourcefulness of the team, we are proud to have successfully transitioned most of our workforce to working remotely. In some places we have had to transition teams to secure and safe living spaces while implementing social distancing.
All this, within a week!
We are thankful to all our clients for their extended support and understanding through this rapid transition and it's heartening to know that we have not seen any major service disruptions.
There is much left to do in this fight against COVID-19 and we are committed to stand by you as needed. While we don't have a cure for Corona or the economy world over, we will certainly empower your IT, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, and Customer Service teams to ensure your business runs efficiently during these difficult times.
